Established in 2005, Zhongshan Hotsun Imaging Products Co., Ltd. began focusing on the copier consumables industry in 2012. Since then, we have steadily developed our expertise in the R&D, engineering and manufacturing of high-quality remanufactured drum units, compatible drum units and fuser assemblies.
From Ricoh and Canon to Konica Minolta and Xerox, we have accumulated extensive practical experience in the product structures, imaging principles, material characteristics and operating requirements of major copier platforms.
We understand that professional office copiers are fundamentally different from ordinary home printers.
Copiers are often required to handle demanding workloads and continuous printing operations. Their drum units and fuser assemblies must do much more than simply fit into the machine. They must work reliably across multiple processes, including charging, developing, transferring, cleaning and fusing.
Even a small deviation in component dimensions, material properties or mechanical tolerances can affect print quality, operating stability and product service life.
That is why we do not consider remanufacturing to be simply a matter of cleaning used parts and assembling components again.
For every product model, we take the machine’s imaging principles into consideration, evaluate the condition of critical components, optimize material selection and component compatibility, and verify performance through real-machine testing.
Our goal is not simply to manufacture a product that can be installed and operated. We aim to deliver consistent performance in real-world applications, with quality and service life as close to OEM standards as practical.

The answer is straightforward.
We are not willing to compromise critical materials, essential components or necessary manufacturing processes simply to compete on the lowest price.
1. We Prioritize Quality OEM Recycled Housings
For a remanufactured drum unit, the original OEM housing is much more than an external plastic structure. It provides the mechanical foundation for dimensional accuracy, component alignment and operating stability.
Some low-cost compatible products may use lower-grade plastic materials or housings with insufficient structural precision to reduce manufacturing costs.
Under prolonged exposure to heat and mechanical stress inside a copier, such components may be more susceptible to deformation, changes in component clearances or transmission problems. These issues can eventually affect drum unit operation and print quality.
At HOTSUN, we carefully source quality original OEM recycled housings from European and American markets. Each housing undergoes professional cleaning, inspection, sorting and remanufacturing before being reused.
For certain models, the cost of a qualified recycled OEM housing alone can be close to the selling price of a complete low-cost brand-new compatible drum unit.

Original OEM housings are based on established structural designs, material properties, dimensional specifications and mechanical tolerances. 2. Carefully Selected Components and Precise Material Compatibility
A high-quality copier drum unit is not simply a collection of individual parts assembled together.
The OPC drum, primary charge roller (PCR), cleaning blade, sealing materials, magnetic roller and toner must work together as a properly matched system.
OPC Drum – Photoconductor Performance and Durability
For different copier models, we select high-quality, long-life OPC drums, including premium Fuji OPC products.
Our focus goes beyond initial print performance. We also pay close attention to coating thickness, wear resistance, electrical characteristics and long-term printing stability.
A high-quality OPC drum helps reduce the risk of repetitive black spots, background shading and image deterioration caused by coating wear or abnormal electrical performance. It also provides an important foundation for achieving the expected print yield.
PCR – Primary Charge Roller
The electrical resistance, surface condition and elasticity of a primary charge roller directly affect the uniformity of the charge applied to the OPC drum.
We select suitable PCRs for different copier models, paying particular attention to resistance stability, surface cleanliness and compatibility with the OPC drum.
A properly matched, high-quality PCR helps maintain consistent charging performance while reducing the risk of abnormal wear and print defects.
Doctor Blades and Cleaning Blades
Blades are among the critical components affecting the long-term performance of a drum unit.
For selected products, HOTSUN uses a double-layer blade design. Different functional layers work together to balance contact-surface wear resistance, elastic support and cleaning performance.
The blade must effectively remove residual toner from the OPC drum surface without causing excessive friction or premature coating wear due to inappropriate contact pressure or material selection.
We also pay close attention to blade compatibility with different toner brands and formulations, helping reduce the risk of cleaning problems and image defects during extended operation.
Fuser Assemblies – Reliable Fixing Performance
The fuser assembly plays a critical role in ensuring proper toner adhesion and reliable continuous printing.
We carefully evaluate the heat resistance, thermal conductivity, surface characteristics and mechanical compatibility of fuser films, fuser rollers, pressure rollers and related components.
Through component selection, precise assembly and real-machine testing, we aim to minimize common problems such as poor toner adhesion, toner offset, abnormal noise and premature component wear during continuous printing.
For all our products, we also pay close attention to consumable materials and auxiliary components. According to the remanufacturing standards for each model, designated consumables and worn components are replaced with new, qualified parts rather than reusing components that no longer meet our requirements.
We believe that genuine quality is not determined by one excellent component. It comes from the ability of all critical components to work together reliably over the long term.
3. Strict Real-Machine Testing and Print Quality Inspection
Manufacturing is not complete simply because a product has been assembled.
True product quality must be verified in an actual copier.
At HOTSUN, our products undergo real-machine installation and print quality inspections according to the testing standards for each model.
Our inspection process focuses on:
Print density and blackness consistency.
Smooth and accurate grayscale transitions.
Uniformity and consistency of color output.
Background shading, repetitive black spots, streaks and ghosting.
Mechanical transmission, operating noise and component compatibility.
Toner adhesion and fusing performance.
For models requiring extended performance verification, we also conduct continuous printing and service-life testing. Depending on the product requirements, print samples are inspected at regular intervals, for example, every 5,000 pages.
There is also one small detail we would like our customers to understand.
When you receive some of our remanufactured drum units, you may notice slight printing marks on the OPC drum surface.
Please do not mistake these marks for signs of previous use.
They are usually the result of our pre-shipment print testing. We print a small number of test pages, typically around 10 pages, to verify basic imaging quality and operating condition before the product leaves our factory.
We are willing to invest additional time and resources in testing because we understand that the final quality inspection before delivery is just as important as every previous manufacturing step.
